On Saturday we had Quent's parents up for dinner on Saturday, October 3 to celebrate her 65th birthday. We had a great time visiting with them and heard all about her surgery she had planned for Tuesday, the day of her actual birthday.
We didn't get the camera out while Quent's family was at the hatchery but when we went to visit Joyce in the hospital after her surgery yesterday, Quent made sure we had the camera. Joyce loves to take pictures of everyone and everything so Quent wanted to make sure we had a picture of her hooked up to all the machines in the hospital.
We are hoping that Joyce is up and and around real soon. She has to be in the hospital for a couple more days and depending on how things go she may go to a rehabilitation center for a few more days before going home. She seemed to be in great spirits while we were visiting her, of course the leg was still numb from the surgery. Here's to a speedy recovery!
