Bear Lake Raspberries!!!

Quent and I went and dug some Bear Lake raspberry bushes from one of Quent's coworkers who lives in Garden City, Utah right on the shore of Bear Lake. For all of our friends/family out of state, Bear Lake is known for their famous raspberries and they are dang expensive.

After moving to Mantua, Quent was speaking with Scott up at Bear Lake about his raspberry patch and he had just thinned out his raspberries for the spring but told Quent that this fall after the first frost we could come up and take whatever we wanted. We came home with nine five-gallon buckets full of mature raspberry bushes, close to 60 full plants.

The plan is to plant the the bushes out in the field between the two hatchery houses and and hopefully have our own Bear Lake raspberry patch in a few years.

The best part about going to Garden City? We had a raspberry shake before coming home!
