Over the past week while Quent and I have been huddled up inside recovering from the nasty cold, our spring flowers have popped out of the ground. Last fall Quent planted over 300 tulip and daffodil bulbs in our flower gardens. (we weren't sure if they would bloom or not as we threw out half of the bulbs as we were planting them as they were rotten.) -- notice I said "we" but really it was all Quent --
To our surprise we have a bunch of flowers in the garden and I'm sure it will be a great once they are blooming. Our hollyhocks are also coming up, the ones we had from last year as well as the newly transplanted ones last fall. With spring also comes the silly weeds, we've got to get better to get out and stop them in their tracks before they get worse. Hopefully the deer won't find our flowers!
Quent reports that the rhubarb in the garden is starting to grow and the rest of the garden is still under a little bit of snow.
