Just before we left last week we redefined our trip just a bit. Instead of staying in Phoenix for the entire trip we decided to travel southeast of Phoenix to Tucson and tour some of the sites of Arizona on Monday.

Nascar weekend
Five days, four nights, three hotels, two races and one rental car describes our whirlwind trip to Phoenix this past weekend. Our inital trip included just going to Phoenix for the weekend however all Nascar fans know that if the race is rained out on Sunday you must be there for a Monday race. So our tickets were booked with a return on Tuesday.
