Viva Las Vegas!

It wouldn't be a summer if I didn't spend at least 10 days in Las Vegas, this year was no different. I spent 11 days in glorious Las Vegas with the NBA Summer League (presented by EA SPORTS). I am glad to be home after being home just three days between my California trip and my Vegas trip. I was able to stay at the Marriott Suites, a non-smoking, non-gaming hotel. Honestly it's the best place to stay in Vegas.

This year's tournament included 21 NBA teams and the D-League select team. In 10 days I spent over 120 hours at Cox Pavilion and the Thomas and Mack arena and watched 55 basketball games. (That's a lot of bad basketball if you ask me). My role with the summer leauge staff includes writing game recaps for the summer league website and espn.com, assisting media with interview requests and supporting the NBA PR staff.

It has been great working for the NBA for the past three weeks, hopefully things will work out and I'll be with them again next year. For now I'm glad to be home in my small town of 700 without traffic, casinos and bright lights.

The picture is of Cleveland's David Harrison. This is the only picture I could come up with me in the background. If you double-click the picture, it will enlarge and you can see the arrow above my head.
